Introduction
When you first install and open EziACER, you will be presented with a main screen that looks similar to this:
As you can see, EziACER's interface is made up of a series of components. Here's what the interface elements do:

• Menu: The menu at the top of the screen offers an alternate way to access functions.
• Calendar: Use the calendar to select report dates.
• Main Toolbar: EziACER’s main functions are accessible through this toolbar.
• Viewing Tools: Controls how reports are shown in the viewing area.
• Report Tabs: Allows you to select the report type.
• Viewing Area: This is where your reports are shown.

At first, most of your interaction with EziACER will be done through the main toolbar. Below is a picture of this toolbar with the buttons labelled: The functions that these buttons perform will be covered in more detail as you progress through this manual.

Configuration

Configuration of EziACER is essential, as EziACER requires that you input your user name and password for the EMS website in order to access and gather your reports. There is also an area to enter your personal details, it is recommended you keep this up to date. Finally, there is a function to switch between EziACER's built-in report viewer or to use a third-party PDF viewer installed on your computer such as Adobe Acrobat. Press the OK button to save your changes or Cancel if you would like to exit configuration without saving your changes.

Downloading Reports

The next step is to begin downloading your EMS reports, the first time you download you might like to obtain some of your older reports. To initiate the download you must select the start and end date for the relevant period, by default the past week is selected. There is also an option to skip downloading files that are already on your computer, this is activated by default because it can speed up transfer time significantly.

When you are ready to begin, press the Download button and EziACER will start gathering your reports. You can press the cancel button at any time if you wish to stop the download.

Please note that the due to limitations on the EMS website, EziACER is currently not able to download reports that are more than one month old.

Viewing Reports
Once you have downloaded some reports you will be able to view them, this is the main function of EziACER, so the reports are displayed in the large area at the bottom of the main EziACER screen. The first thing you will need to do is select the day of the reports you want to view, you can click on the day on the calendar to do this. To switch to a different month you can press the Next or Previous Month buttons, as shown below. To change the year, first click on the current year and then two buttons will appear next to it you can use these buttons to shift the current year up or down.


When you have your date selected, the reports for that day will be loaded into the viewing area. There are a number of tools above the viewing area, the left side contains tools relating to your view of the reports, such as the zoom level and changing the page you are viewing. On the right is simplified control for changing the date.

The individual functions of these tools are summarised below:


Below that is a set of tabs for switching between the types of reports available for the selected day. Particular reports will only appear on certain days, such as the weekly and monthly reports.


Finally, the viewing area takes up the rest of the screen this is where your reports are displayed. To enlarge this area, press the Zoom button on the toolbar. Any other functions you use on the toolbar are instantly take effect here.


If you would like to print any reports, simply press the Print button in the main toolbar. You will then be prompted to choose whether you would like to print all of the day’s reports or only the report you are currently viewing.

Viewing News
EziACER also contains a function that allows you to read news and announcements posted to the EMS website, it is available by pressing the EMS News button. On the left side of the news window is a list of articles, items that are displayed in bold have not been read yet. On the right side the currently selected news article is displayed.
EMS news is downloaded with your other reports, so you to update you will have to perform the download procedure explained above.

Registration
If you have bought a licence for EziACER, press the Register button on the main toolbar, this will open the Registration dialog. Enter your Registration Code and press the Register button. EziACER will then verify your code and activate your registration.
